The winner of this match will face either France or co-hosts Croatia (who play on Thursday) in the final. Denmark had a convincing 33-21 win over Brazil in the last round. The second half was impressive with them winning that by a nine-goal margin.
That win continued their 100 per cent record in this competition. The Danes have now won 22 games in a row and last lost in the 2024 Euros final to France. During this unbeaten run they have also won an Olympic gold medal.
Portugal had never made it past the last 16 of this competition before this year. They won Group E in the Preliminary Round with wins over Brazil (only by four goals) and Norway. Their strong form continued in the Main Round finishing top of Group III despite being held to a draw by Sweden.
They had a tough quarter-final, needing extra time to beat Germany by a single goal, leading and trailing in that game. Their great run looks like ending here and we tip Denmark to win on a -6.5 goals handicap.
