Denmark vs Norway Prediction & Betting Tips - Women's Olympics Handball

Norway face Denmark in their second match in Group A of the Women's Olympic handball tournament. The Handball Girls will be going all out to beat the Danes after losing their first group fixture. Let's look ahead to this game and make our prediction.

The Norwegians took on Sweden in their opening match in this group. They led the Swedes at the break but couldn't hold onto it and eventually lost by four goals. That's left them fifth in the group with four games remaining. 

They'll need to get a win here though and will want more goals from Mark and Offedal, both of whom scored seven goals against the Swedes. Only once in their last eight Olympic appearances have the Norwegians failed to win a medal.

They were runners-up in the 2023 World Championships and are the reigning European title holders. It'd be a big shock if they were to fail to make it into the last eight.

Denmark top the group after the first set of matches. They opened their campaign with a comfortable 27-19 win over Slovenia. This is their first time in the Olympic finals since 2012 when finishing ninth. They'd love to recapture the glory days when winning three successive Olympic titles between 1996 and 2004.

The Danes were the runners-up to Norway in the 2022 European Championships and third in last year's Worlds. They lost their final two warm-up matches and those just happened to be against Norway earlier this month, including one by an 11-goal margin.
