Denis Shapovalov vs Rafael Nadal Prediction & Betting Tips - Rolex Paris Masters
by Steve Ashfield | in Rolex Paris Masters Predictions
These two players broke French hearts as they beat the two remaining home players. Rafael Nadal beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets, while Denis Shapovalov knocked out Gael Monfils. It's not just that there are no French players left but only two seeds remain in the tournament, namely the top two of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard becomes the new number one in the world on Monday and would love to be the Paris Masters champion too. He's reached the last four without dropping a set with victories over Adrian Mannarino, Stan Wawrinka and then Tsonga in the quarter final.
He takes on Denis Shapovalov in the last four and his opponent is in good form. He didn't have much of a test in the first round when Gilles Simon retired after just four games. Since then, he's knocked out 11th seeded Fabio Fognini, fifth seeded Alexander Zverev and then seed number 13 Gael Monfils for the loss of just four games. Shapovalov is a recent winner of the Stockholm tournament and was a semi-finalist in Chengdhu. This is his toughest task of the week and the tip is for the ultra-consistent Nadal to beat him in straight sets.

Our Denis Shapovalov vs Rafael Nadal Prediction
Rafael Nadal can make it through to another final. He's been so consistent this year and has only lost two matches all year to players ranked outside the top ten and none since April. He hasn't dropped a set so far in Paris and beat his opponent 2-0 the last time they met in 2018. Shapovalov has had a great week too but Nadal is a tough nut to crack. Go for Nadal to win this in straight sets.
