Second seed Casper Ruud and the unseeded Denis Shapovalov will meet in the final of the 2025 Dallas Open. This is their second meeting in the championship match of a tour event. Below is our prediction.

Shapovalov is contesting the eighth tour final of his career. He will hope to overcome his struggles when it comes to championship matches and win only his third tour title.

The Canadian has lost five of the previous seven finals he has contested with one of those losses being against Ruud. Shapovalov has however earned both of his tour wins on indoor surfaces.

To advance to this final, Shapovalov defeated defending Dallas champion Tommy Paul in straight sets. This was his sixth win of the season and as a result, he has shot up 16 places to 38th in the live ranking.

Ruud will contest his 24th tour final and as he has never lost against Shapovalov, he will be confident of victory. The world number five has won 12 tour titles but none has come indoors.

Currently, on a six-match winning streak, Ruud defeated Jaume Munar in the semi-finals by three sets. It was their second meeting of the season after he had eliminated the Spaniard in Melbourne.

Ruud is unbeaten on indoor hardcourts with six of his nine wins coming on such surfaces.
