The in-form Denis Shapovalov has qualified for the semi-finals of the Mexican Open, where he will face off with Alejandro Davidocich Fokina. A showdown in the championship match with Tomas Machac or Brandon Nakashima will await the winner. Below is our prediction for this tie.

Shapovalov is in spectacular form and will be eager to ride this tide and secure his second successive tour title of the season. The Canadian, who arrived in Acapulco following his title run in Dallas, has won eight straight matches. Five of those victories have been by straight sets.
