PDC Premier League 2025 - Winners Prediction
Picking a winner from this talented crop of darts superstars is not easy. Luke Littler is the obvious pick, having won both this tournament last season and then winning the World Championship back at the start of January.
Luke Humphries is very consistent though and the league format will suit him. Another player in superb form at present is Stephen Bunting and I think that these players are likely to be three of the four semi-finalists.
Michael van Gerwen cannot be discounted, but his form has been inconsistent over the last year. Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Chris Dobey and Nathan Aspinall may lack the stamina and consistency in the league stage to trouble the more consistent players.
Qualification is key to winning the tournament, but any of the four players that qualify could realistically win it. Luke Littler is probably most people’s choice, but I think Stephen Bunting at 14/1 is a great value bet.
Outright Odds
- Luke Littler - 11/8 favourite
- Luke Humphries - 11/4
- Michael van Gerwen - 5/1
- Gerwyn Price - 14/1
- Stephen Bunting - 14/1
- Chris Dobey - 20/1
- Rob Cross - 25/1
- Nathan Aspinall - 33/1

Beginner guide: how does the PDC Premier League Work?
The PDC Premier League 2025 is organised into 17 weeks of action. The first 16 weeks are in a league format, and week 17 is the playoffs, when the four qualifiers from the league phase will compete in the semi-finals, and then a final will be held to decide the champion.
For the first 16 weeks of action, the eight players will compete in a knockout format tournament, starting with quarter-finals. The four winners enter the semi-finals, and the two semi-final victors compete in the nightly final.
If a player is Champion on any of the 16 nights, they earn five points for winning the final. A runner-up on the night receives three points and losing semi-finalists receive two points. Losing quarterfinalists receive no points.
The players will be drawn to play each other once across weeks one to seven and also weeks nine to 15.
Weeks eight and 16 are different in that the current league position for each player will determine their quarter-final draw, with first place in the league taking on eighth, second taking on seventh, third taking on sixth and fourth and fifth-placed players competing.
The week 17 Playoff will see semi-finals featuring first v fourth and second v third in the league table, with the winners contesting the final.
PDC Premier League 2025 - Who Will Qualify For The Playoff Semi-Finals?
Before a player can try to win the tournament, they have to qualify as one of the four players to reach the playoffs. You can also bet on any of the players to reach the semi-finals at the O2 at the following odds:
- Luke Littler - 1/6 favourite
- Luke Humphries - 3/10
- Michael van Gerwen - 8/15
- Gerwyn Price - 10/11
- Stephen Bunting - 10/11
- Chris Dobey - 6/4
- Rob Cross - 15/8
- Nathan Aspinall - 11/5
Other PDC Premier League 2025 Outright Betting Markets
Alongside betting on the winner and who will reach the playoffs, there are a number of other popular betting markets you can bet on in the PDC Premier League Darts 2025. Some of the most common available include:
To Finish Top of the League
This is a wager on which player will finish at the top of the league table after the 16 weeks of action preceding the playoffs.
Luke Littler is the 8/11 odds-on favourite to top the table this year, as he did in 2024. Other odds include; Luke Humphries 2/1, Michael van Gerwen 13/2, Gerwyn Price and Steve Bunting 22/1, Chris Dobey 33/1, Rob Cross 40/1 and Nathan Aspinall 80/1
To Finish Bottom of the League
Last year, it was flamboyant Scotsman Peter Wright who finished a distant bottom of the Premier League table. You can bet on which of the eight players will be the one to finish with the worst record over the first 16 weeks of the season too.
Nathan Aspinall is the 6/4 favourite to be the bottom of the table after Week 16. Rob Cross is 5/2, Chris Dobey 11/4, While Steven Bunting and Gerwyn Price are 9/1 shots.
To Reach the PDC Premier League Final
Reaching the Premier League final not only means you are a consistent player in the league format, but also a good knockout player too.
Unsurprisingly, Luke Littler is 8/13 to reach the final, with Luke Humphreys even money. Michael van Gerwen is 13-8 to make his tenth final appearance, while Bunting and Price are both 4/1. Chris Dobey is 6/1, Rob Cross 15/2 and Nathan Aspinall 17/2.
Our tips for how to better predict PDC Premier League Darts
As with many sports, betting on the PDC Premier League darts requires analysis of each match in the tournament within context. Understanding what the data tells you allows you to select the better betting opportunities. Outlined below are five tips to follow when placing your PDC Premier League darts bets this year.
- Head-to-Head Records
- Research the Form of the Players.
- A Home Crowd is a Huge Advantage.
- Players that can Start Quickly have a Huge Advantage.
- Look Beyond the Match Winner Market.
Following these suggestions into your betting strategy for the tournament should help you make better-informed selections and, hopefully, enjoy a winner or two throughout the 17 weeks of the tournament!
1. Head-to-Head Records
With the same eight players competing in the Premier League Darts 2025, the head-to-head record between each player and their seven opponents can be influential in helping you decide which bet to back. Some players have very good records against one player, but may have a very poor record against another. These can be very useful insights for each match in the tournament.
2. Research the Form of the Players
A player's form can fluctuate and they will often play in a number of floor tournaments at the weekend in between Premier League fixtures. As such, they can lose and regain form in these non-televised events. A confident player is usually a better and more dangerous player and current form is important in evaluating a player’s chances of success in any Premier League match.
3. A Home Crowd is a Huge Advantage
Dutch players in front of home fans, or English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish players playing in their home city or country can expect excellent support from their fans in the audience. This can have a significant effect on how well they perform on the night. Look for Gerwyn Price to do well in Wales, Stephen Bunting to perform well in Liverpool and Manchester, Michael van Gerwen to enjoy great support in Rotterdam and so-forth.
4. Players that can Start Quickly have a Huge Advantage
In a best-of-eleven-legs format, starting swiftly is vital. If a player goes two or three legs in front early in a match, it is difficult to pull it back. Opportunities to get back into the match start to run out quickly and that increases the pressure on the player chasing the game, while allowing the leader to relax a little more. As such, those players that generally hit the ground running and make fast starts in matches have an advantage over those that need time to work their way into a game.
5. Look Beyond the Match Winner Market
Sometimes, the match-winner bets may not offer good value. Especially when a top-ranking player takes on an opponent that is struggling in the Premier League at present. In these cases, it is worth looking at a range of other bets available, such as whether there will be a nine-dart finish that night, or which double the match will be won on. Additionally, there are also some great outright markets available on Premier League Darts for those who like longer-term bets.
What not to do for PDC Premier League Darts 2025
We want you to have the best experience betting on the PDC Premier League in 2025. With that in mind, here are some strategies and situations you should seek to avoid when betting on the event!
- Don’t bet ‘cold’, always do a little research before a bet.
- Never disregard the current form of a player in the tournament either good, bad or indifferent.
- Don’t let losses make you angry and upset, and never chase your losses.
- Don’t assume that this week's venue won’t affect the result of a match.
- Never bet more than you can afford to lose.
- Don’t just bet on one market. Value can be found in many different PDC Premier League Darts markets if you look closely.
Stay away from making any of these mistakes when betting on the PDC Premier League Darts and you should not only maintain fill control of your betting but also enjoy betting on the event and, hopefully, land a few winners, too!

In addition, there is a weekly winner bonus of £10,000 on offer across the first 16 weeks of the tournament.

In a nutshell: how to make good predictions for PDC Premier League Darts 2025?

Those skills, teamed with a cool head and the ability to adapt as the momentum in the tournament switches between the different players, is essential for making the best darts predictions.
Of course, avoiding the errors outlined above helps cut down on making bad bets, but it is also easy to want a favourite player to win, even if the odds do not suggest it, or if they are taking on an opponent that will enjoy vociferous home support. The context for every match is important, too.

Premier League Darts is a tournament that operates as a league, contested over 17 weeks from February through to May each year. Eight players compete in the tournament and play best of 12 games against each other, one match per week, to earn one of four places in the Premier League Darts Playoffs. The playoffs are the final week of action when the four qualifiers contest two semi-finals, and then a final is held to decide the overall winner.
There are two ways you can qualify for the Premier League Darts tournament each year. To qualify directly, you must finish the previous season in the top four of the PDC World Darts Rankings. In addition, Matchroom Sport and the PDC and Sponsors of the tournament will also award four ‘wildcards’ to players not in the top four, but who will be invited to compete in the tournament.
The PDC Premier League Darts is contested over 17 weeks in total. There are 16 weeks of the season, each played at a different venue across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands. The final week of the season, Week 17, is the Playoffs, played at the O2 Arena in London, where four players qualify for the semi-finals and the two semi-final winners then compete in the final to be named champion.
Each Premier League darts match is played as a race to six games, meaning a maximum of 11 games can be played in any one match each night. Drawn games are now no longer possible in the tournament.
Since being founded in 2005, Michael van Gerwen has won the most Premier League Darts Championships with seven, finishing runner-up twice. Phil Taylor is second on the list with six. Only one other player, Gary Anderson with two wins, has won the tournament more than once. James Wade, Raymond van Barneveld, Glen Durrant, Jonny Clayton and Luke Littler have won the tournament once each.
Premier League Darts is shown live on Sky Sports Darts every Thursday night from 6th February, with the first game scheduled to start at around 7.15 pm UK Time.
