Daria Kasatkina vs Jil Teichmann Prediction & Betting Tips - Abu Dhabi Open

Top seeded Daria Kasatkina is up against unseeded Jil Teichmann in the Abu Dhabi Open second round. Kasatkina is the world number eight which is a career high for the Russian. It's been a big of a start-stop year for her so far this year. 2023 opened with a three set loss to Linda Noskova in the first Adelaide International. At the time her opponent was ranked 102nd but has moved up to 50th in the live rankings. Bettef form was shown in the second Adelaide tournament as Kasatkina reached the final with wins over Barbora Krejcikova and Petra Kvitova. The final didn't go well though with only two games won against Belinda Benci. Kasatkina had a poor Australian Open, only winning two games in her first round defeat by Varvara Gracheva. This is her first match since then having received a first round bye. 

Jil Teichmann is yet to beat her opponent. Both previous matches have been lost without her winning a set. Their most recent match was in Rome last year on clay with Teichmann retiring in the second set when 4-6 2-3 down. The Swiss player began this week ranked 28th which is seven places below her career high achieved last July. After a win and a loss in the United Cup, Tiechmann reached the last 16 of the second Adelaide International tournament. The second round of the Australian Open was reached, being beaten by Lin Zhu, winning just four games. This week has so far seen her beat qualifier Dayana Yastremska in straight sets, though a tie-break was required in the second. Kastakina is our tip to reach the last eight.
