With how impressive she has been this season, the chances of her going all the way are high. Navarro has won 14 of the 18 matches she has contested so far and has already won one title. She triumphed in Hobart to secure the first tour title of her career and also had a semifinal finish in Auckland. Now ranked 25th in the live ranking, Navarro also needed three sets to get past the second round. Her tie with Katerina Siniakova was however not an exhausting one and lasted for one hour and 44 minutes. Advancing from this round will see the 22-year-old tie her career-high world ranking of number 23.
