Daniil Medvedev vs Nick Kyrgios Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Daniil Medvedev is the top seed and takes on the 23rd seeded Nick Kyrgios. This is a fourth round tie in the US Open and the winner faces either Pablo Carreno Busta or Karen Khachanov in the quarter finals. Medvedev has only won one title this year and that was in the recent Los Cabos tournament. He may be the present world number one but he's down to second in the live rankings. Medvedev won this title last year and before that was the runner-up in 2019 and semi-finalist two years ago, so he loves the US Open. He did lose to Kyrgios in Montreal last month in a tight three-setter. Over the longer distance of five sets, he may well get revenge here. This week has seen him get wins over Stefan Kozlov, Arthur Rinderkneck and Wu Yibing without losing a set.

Nick Kyrgios is bidding to reach a second successive Grand Slam final. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final but has continued his good form now the tour has moved to America. Kyrgios has won the Washington title but only beat one top 20 player in that tournament. He then beat Medvedev in Montreal but lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter finals. In Cincinnati, the Australian lost in the last 32 to Taylor Fritz. He's had a comfortable run so far in New York with victories over Thanasi Kokkinakis, Benjamin Bonzo (in four sets) and JJ Wolf, so not the hardest of routes. He has won three of his four matches against Medvedev with the Russian beating him in this year's Australian Open. The other two wins for Kyrgios were earned three years ago. Over five sets, back Medvedev to win this.
