Daniil Medvedev vs Marton Fucsovics Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Third seed Daniil Medvedev and unseeded Marton Fucsovics will on Saturday face off in the third round at Wimbledon. Advancing from this tie will set up a fourth-round showdown with either 16th seed Tommy Paul or unseeded Jiri Lehecka. Medvedev is through to the third round here for the fourth time in five main draw appearances. He has however only once advanced past this round. This was in 2021 when he made it to the fourth round which is also the last time he played here. The Russian has been in impeccable form, winning his two rounds without dropping a set. To set up this tie with Fucsovics, he defeated Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-3, 7-6. The current world number three is in contention to assume the ATP number one ranking which will be achieved by winning the tournament. Medvedev has dominated this year once again. He has won 43 of the 51 matches he has played resulting in five titles. This will be the fifth encounter between him and Fucsovics and he will be out to add to his three victories.

Marton Fucsovics has dominated in his matches on grass this year. After defeating Marcos Giron 3-1 in his last match, he has now won seven of his eight matches on the surface. The Hungarian is having a decent season thus far and has compiled a 25-13 win-loss record. He is a strong performer on grass and has won 39 of his 62 career matches on the surface. Despite being on the receiving end more times against Medvedev, Fucsovics did win the last time the two met. This was at the French Open in 2020, their first Grand Slam duel. He will hope for a similar outcome as he plots to at least equal his best-ever finish at the All England Club. The 31-year-old made it to the quarterfinals two seasons ago. This stands as his best-ever result at a Grand Slam. The win over Giron has bumped him up 15 places to number 52 in the live ranking.
