Daniil Medvedev vs Hubert Hurkacz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Finals

The ATP Tour Finals get underway with defending champion Daniil Medvedev taking on Hubert Hurkacz. This is a Red Group match with the other two players being Alexander Zverev and Matteo Berrettini. Losing this match doesn't mean elimination, but winning it takes the victors earnings to a quarter of a million dollars with more to come. Medvedev is the second seed in this tournament with Hurkacz the seventh seed. The Russian has already won four titles this year and earned over $6 million. Last week saw him lose to Novak Djokovic in the Paris Masters final. He's having a strong finish to the year with wins in the US Open and Cincinnati Masters. This is his third meeting with Hurkacz and all have been this year. Hurkacz beat Medvedev at Wimbledon but the Russian got his revenge in Canada. The two previous matches have seen three tie breaks played.

Hubert Hurkacz is in his first ATP Tour Finals. Considering he was only ranked 37th in the second half of March, he has done well to qualify. He has won three titles this year and that includes the Miami Masters. He was in great form in that tournament with wins over Shapovalov, Tsitsipas, Rublev and Sinner. Hurkacz also reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon and won a tournament in Metz. He'd be higher seeded but for a poor clay court season that saw him win just one match. Recent form has seen him get to the last eight at Indian Wells and the semi-finals of the Paris Masters. Back Medvedev to get the win here and have a side bet on there being a tie-break. Four of the last six Hurkacz matches have seen one played.
