Daniil Medvedev vs Dominic Thiem Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Daniil Medvedev bids to reach his second successive US Open final. He takes on Dominic Thiem who has already played in one Grand Slam final this year. This could be a battle that is ongoing for many a year between these two top players. Thiem is the second seed, while Medvedev is just one place lower than him. Neither have won a Grand Slam event but this event looks to be one that the winner of this match can win.
Medvedev has reached the last four without losing a set. He hadn't lost more than nine games in a match on his way to the last eight. His quarter final was a bit tougher as he took on 10th seeded Andrey Rublev. He still won in straight sets but two went to a tie-break. It was an easier quarter final for Dominic Thiem as he defeated 21st seed Alex de Minaur for the loss of only seven games. Thiem has dropped just one set in this tournament as he bids to win a maiden Grand Slam. Previous matches between the pair see Thiem having a 2-1 lead and only one match has gone beyond two sets. This really could go either way, a bet on under 40.5 games looks the one to go for.
