Daniil Medvedev vs Andrey Rublev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Dubai Open

Daniil Medvedev takes on defending champion Andrey Rublev in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships. A win for Medvedev will be his third straight tournament victory after wins in Rotterdam and then Doha. The third seed became the first player to beat Novak Djokovic this year when beating him 6-4 6-4 in Friday's semi-final. That was his 13th consecutive win for Medvedev and he is yet to drop a set this week in Dubai. No player is yet to win five games in a set this week against the Russian. Medvedev topped the world rankings last year but began this week in seventh position. He still holds that ranking in the live list but will move up to sixth if winning this final. He's up to third in the live ATP Race but can't climb any higher this week. Medvedev leads Rublev 5-2 in previous meetings but has lost his last two to his fellow Russian. 

While Medvedev has been busy winning tournaments in recent weeks. Andrey Rublev hasn't been doing so well until this week. This is his first time past the quarter finals this year. He has been beaten in two quarter finals this year. The first was in the Australian Open when losing in straight sets to Novak Djokovic. Last week he reached the quarter finals in Doha but only had to win one match against Tallon Griekspoor to reach that stage. He then lost to Jiri Lehecka after winning the first set. Rublev is sixth in the world but winning this final could take him above Taylor Fritz into fifth spot and that'd equal his career high. Winning the title will take him up to seventh in the Live ATP Race. This week has seen Rublev drop just one set on his way to his second successive final in Dubai. That was in round two when he only won one game in the opening set against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina before winning two tie-breaks to progress. He beat Alexander Zverev in the last four to reach this final. Medvedev is in top form though and he can win the Dubai Tennis Championship title.
