Daniel Evans vs Arthur Rinderknech Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

24th seeded Daniel Evans takes on Arthur Rinderknech in the second round of the Australian Open.  Evans has never made it past the fourth round of a Grand Slam. Five years ago he reached the fourth round in Melbourne but had to wait until the 2021 US Open to do so again. Last year saw him lose in the final of the Murray River Open in Australia, beaten by Felix Auger-Aliassime. If he can beat Rinderknech, then Evans will face either Auger-Aliassime (seeded ninth) or Alejandro Davodich Fokina in round three. Evans warmed up well for this Grand Slam with three wins out of three in the ATP Cup, including wins over John Isner and Denis Shapovalov. He then got to the semi-finals in Sydney last week, being beaten by eventual champion Aslan Karatsev.

Arthur Rinderknech is the world number 48, his highest ever ranking. This time last year he was only 178th, so 2021 was a breakthrough year for him with consistent performances on both the Challenger and ATP tours. The year began with him winning a Challenger event in Istanbul. He got off to a good start this year with a run to the final of a tournament in Adelaide, beating Karen Khachanov on the way. Rinderknech lost two of his three matches in the ATP Cup. His Grand Slam record is not an impressive one at all. He's never made it past the second round and this is his first time in the main draw of the Australian Open. He struggled in the first round, beating Alexei Popyrin in five sets but never trailed in that match. This is the first time he's faced Evans and the tip here is for the British player to get the win.
