The Dallas Mavericks are set to feature in the play-in tournament for the first time in franchise history. They are one game behind the Kings with two left to play, meaning they do not control their own destiny. 

Dallas enter this match off the back of a 112-97 defeat at home to the Lakers, where Luka Doncic returned to his old stomping ground and led LA to victory with 45 points and six assists. 

A loss here will guarantee the Mavs will end 10th regardless of the final match outcome. They will be without Kyrie Irving and Olivier-Maxence Prosper, while Jaden Hardy and Klay Thompson are doubts.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors are out of playoff contention and playing freely, which has seen them pick up six wins in nine after beating the Hornets 126-96 on Wednesday night. 

Jared Rhoden top-scored with 23 points, while Jonathan Mogbo and Scottie Barnes had 17 points apiece. Toronto now average 110.9 PPG (23rd) and 114.9 PPG against (17th).

The Raps have a laundry list of players currently sidelined through injury, including Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram, Immanuel Quickley, and Gradey Dick.
