Since then, they have taken three consecutive losses against the New Orleans Pelicans (146-110), Milwaukee Bucks (132-119), and Chicago Bulls (114-95). In the most recent defeat against Chicago, Devin Vassell led the team with 21 points. The Spurs are facing challenges on both ends of the court. They are scoring an average of 110.3 points per game, ranking 27th in the NBA, and are being outscored by 11.9 points per game on average. Defensively, they are giving up 122.2 points per game, and their opponents are shooting 49.3% from the field and 38.7% from three-point range. Notably, the Spurs perform better at home, scoring 10.9 more points per game (115.6) compared to their away games (104.7). This is the second meeting between these teams this season, with the Spurs having lost the first encounter 126-119 back in October.

Meanwhile, The Mavericks had a tough time in their last game against the Houston Rockets and were beaten 122-96. Doncic, with impressive averages of 32.7 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.4 rebounds, missed the last game due to a quad injury but is hopeful to make a return in the upcoming match. On the offensive side, the Mavericks score 118.1 points per game, ranking them eighth in the NBA. They make the ninth-highest number of field goals per game and are second in three-pointers made.  However, their defensive performance has been a challenge, as they give up an average of 117.7 points per game.
