The Dallas Mavericks look to extend their lead in the NBA Western Conference Southwest Division. They lead the division with a 2-1 lead and host the San Antonio Spurs who are 1-3 for the season. The Mavericks are fourth overall in the Western Conference as they are division leaders. Dallas have a new managerial team this season and began with a 26 point loss to Atlanta. It's got better since though with victories at Toronto and home to Houston Rockets. Luka Doncic has top scored in all three of their games this season.

It's not been such a good start for the San Antonio Spurs. They are fourth in the Western Conference Southwest Division and 13th overall. The Spurs have failed to make it to the play-offs for the past two seasons. Never have they missed them for three years in a row but it's looking distinctly possible they will. They started well though with a 26 point home win over Orlando. That's not been built on though with consecutive losses inflicted by Denver, Milwaukee and the LA Lakers. Go for the Mavericks to win this and go 3-1 for the season.
