The Dallas Mavericks will play host to the Portland Trail Blazers at the American Airlines Center in the NBA on Tuesday morning. The Mavs (18-10) are fourth in the Western Conference while the Blazers (9-19) are 13th in the conference standings. Check out our match prediction below. 

The Dallas Mavericks have been on a great run of form and picked up their 13th win in 16 on Sunday when they beat the Clippers 113-97 at home. 

With Luka Doncic still sidelined, Klay Thompson led the team with 16 points on six of nine shooting, while Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyrie Irving contributed 15 points apiece. 

The Mavericks are the fifth-highest-scoring team in the NBA, averaging 118.4 points per game, while on defence they are ranked 13th, allowing 112.2 PPG. 

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have not been in the best shape of late and conceded their ninth loss in 11, going down 114-94 to the Spurs on Sunday. 

Shaedon Sharpe put up 25 points and Deandre Ayton chipped in with 14, but as a team, Portland shot only 39% from the field and made 12 of 43 from long range. 

The Blazers are averaging 107.1 points per game (27th in the league), and allow 116.3 PPG (23rd in the NBA).
