The Dallas Mavericks will welcome the Miami Heat in their final NBA fixture before the All-Star break. They enter this match as the eighth seed in the Western Conference, the same position the Heat hold in the East. Read on for our prediction for this match.

The Mavericks got back to winning ways last time out thanks to a 111-107 home victory over the Warriors. That was their third win in the last four games and improved them to a 29-26 record.

The Mavericks, who’ve won against the Rockets and Celtics recently, have won the last two times the Heat have been in town. Anthony Davis remains injured and is expected to miss at least a month of action.

The Heat are in a rut. Erik Spoelstra’s men have lost five of their last seven games and are on a three-match skid. Starting off a five-match road trip, the Heat were outclassed 115-101 by the high-flying OKC Thunder.

They have now lost 27 games and have dropped to two games below .500. Miami defeated Dallas in the reverse match 123-118 in OT.

Jimmy Butler led the team with a game-high 33 points in that victory in November but the forward has since left the team. Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez, Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson are all questionable for this trip.
