One of the standout matches in Week 12 of the NBA season will see the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers face off at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday. The Mavs (20-16) are sixth in the Western Conference while the Lakers (20-15) are one spot above them. Check out our match prediction below.

With Luka Doncic out of action, the Dallas Mavericks have dropped off lately and lost their sixth match in seven after getting hammered 119-104 by the Grizzlies last night. 

No Dallas player got over 20 points in the defeat. As a team, they shot just 40% from the field and 13 of 36 from long range but managed only eight points in the final five minutes of the match.

The Mavs are still a top-10 side on offence, averaging 116.4 points per game, but they have slipped to 14th for points against, averaging 112.3 PPG.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have won seven of their last 10 games, but will be looking to get back in the win column after going down 119-115 to the Rockets on Monday. 

Austin Reaves has notably been playing a much bigger role for Los Angeles in recent weeks and matched LeBron James’ 21 points in the match while Anthony Davis top-scored with 30.

The Lakers are scoring 4.1 points fewer than the Mavs on average this season and allow 1.6 PPG more than Dallas.
