The Los Angeles Clippers will be away to the Dallas Mavericks hoping to maintain their NBA winning streak. Dallas arrives for this match fifth in the Western Conference, one place above the Clippers who have an almost identical record to theirs. The Mavericks have compiled a 16-10 record and are four and a half games behind conference leaders Minnesota. The Mavs, who have a 7-5 record at home, are scoring the sixth most points a game with 119.3. For this game, they will be without Dereck Lively II who has an issue with his back. Luka Doncic is leading the team in scoring and his 32.9 points a game is the second-best return at the moment.

This is the longest current winning run in the league and has turned around the fortunes of Ty Lue’s side. They now look like the team many thought they would be when they acquired James Harden via trade during their wobbly start. The former league MVP has averaged nearly a double-double in his last 10 games with 20.5 points and 9.1 assists. He led LA in scoring in their 151-127 victory in Indiana last time out by pouring in a season-high 35 points. The Clippers, who possess the ninth best offence, have averaged 138.7 points in their last three games. Mason Plumlee remains injured for the Clips but no other injuries have been reported as yet heading into this match.
