The out-of-form Dallas Mavericks will welcome the Detroit Pistons in their next outing in the NBA seeking to return to winning ways. They have dropped to 11th in the Western Conference whereas the Pistons are in sixth in the East. Read on for our prediction of this match.

The Mavericks have been on a downward spiral and will be eager to pick things up and boost their postseason chances. Jason Kidd’s men have won just twice in their last 13 games and are on a four-match skid.

They were defeated 135-131 by the Pacers last time out. The loss, their 37th of the season, saw them drop out of the play-in bracket. Dallas, who are four games below .500, have 12 more games to play to conclude the regular season.

The Pistons have fared much better than the Mavericks this season. They are already assured of being involved in the postseason as they cannot finish any lower than 10th.

J.B. Bickerstaff’s men have constructed a 39-31 record and are right on the heels of the fifth-placed Bucks. The Pistons claimed their fourth win in the last six games by outdueling the Heat 116-113 on the road.
