India and Afghanistan are set to face off in their second Super Eight match at the 2024 T20 World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
India won their first Super Eight match and are only marginally behind Australia on net run rate in Group 1.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, dropped to the bottom of the table following their opening-match loss to the Baggy Greens.
A win for the Men in Blue will put them in a very strong position to reach the last four. If Bangladesh lose and Australia beats Afghanistan on Sunday, the Tigers will be eliminated from the competition.

India - Bangladesh Squad Analysis
Rohit Shamrma’s decision to include a fourth all-rounder in his squad for the last match proved to be a stroke of genius as Kuldeep Yadav picked up two important wickets in the middle overs.
However, the pick of the bowlers was Jasprit Bumrah, who took 3/7 in four overs. He was supported brilliantly by Arshdeep Singh, who also took three wickets and the pair are likely to share the new ball in this match as well.
Bangladesh’s best performers in this competition also comes from the bowling department in the form of Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain.
Sakib is ranked sixth among leading wicket-takers with nine in 16 overs to date, while Hossain is 10th, also on nine wickets, though he has bowled two more overs that his strike partner.
India - Bangladesh Form Analysis
India have well and truly lived up to their tag as the tournament favourites so far.
They came through the group stages unbeaten, with their only dropped point arising from their final group-stage matchup against Canada being washed out.
Prior to that, they had beaten Ireland by eight wickets, overcame arch-rivals Pakistan by six runs and downed the United States by seven wickets.
In their first Super Eight fixture, the Men in Blue secured a 47-run victory over Afghanistan, which has left them on a net run rate of +2.350, only marginally behind group leaders Australia on +2.471.
India are now unbeaten in their last 10 T20Is, including nine wins and one no-result.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh entered the competition as the potential dark horse and you feel that their tournament hopes depend on this match.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, their record against India in the shortest format is very poor. In 12 previous meetings, Bangladesh have only won once, while losing the other 11 encounters.
During the group stages, the Tigers most important result came early on, beating Sri Lanka in their opening match. That was followed by a defeat to South Africa before they secured their Super Eight spot with wins over the Netherlands and Nepal.
In a rain-interrupted Super Eight match against Australia, Bangladesh scored 140/8 batting first, though the Aussies were well ahead of the target when the heavens opened and won the match on DLS methods.
Bangladesh have won four of their last 10 T20Is and are the clear outsiders in this match.
