Coco Gauff vs Paula Badosa Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Australian Open

Coco Gauff is out to reach her second successive Australian Open semi-final. The third seed takes on 11th-seeded Paula Badosa for a place in the last four of this outdoor hard court Grand Slam. Here's our match prediction.

Gauff made it to two Grand Slam semi-finals last year and ended 2024 by winning the WTA Finals. This year has already seen one title won as Gauff was part of the winning US team in the United Cup, winning all her five matches.

The 20-year-old has won her last 13 matches, including two wins over Iga Swiatek and one over Aryna Sabalenka. So far in Melbourne, Gauff has only dropped one set in her four matches so far  That was the opening one against Belinda Bencic in the last round.

Paula Badosa is up to tenth in the live rankings after this run to the last eight.  This is only her third Grand Slam quarter-final  (and first in Australia) but follows up the one reached at last year's US Open. 

The Spaniard only won one of her three warm-up matches but has hit form in Melbourne. Badosa has only dropped one set in her four matches so far. That was in round three when the 27-year-old beat the 17th seed in three sets, losing the middle one.

We tip Gauff to win in straight sets.
