Coco Gauff vs Ons Jabeur Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Finals

US Open champion Cori Gauff begins one of the toughest weeks of her career. The third seed takes on Ons Jabeur (seeded sixth) in the Chetumal Group of the hard court 2023 WTA Finals. The other two players in this round-robin group are Iga Swiatek and Marketa Vondrousova. It's going to be a busy week for Gauff as the 19-year-old is also top seed in the doubles tournament with Jessica Pegula. Can she cope with such a busy schedule that could see her playing ten matches? Gauff is ranked third at present and has won four titles this year in 2023, all of them on hard courts. This is only her second tournament since winning the US Open in August. The other was the China Open where she lost to Iga Swiatek in the last four. That's the only loss she's suffered in her last 17 singles matches.

Ons Jabeur is the sixth seed but currently ranked seventh in the world. Late September saw her win the Ningbo Open but no players ranked in the top 80 were beaten to win that hard court title. That was her second singles title of the year, the other being on clay in Charleston. The Wimbledon final was reached for the second successive year and that helped clinch her place in these WTA Tour Finals. Jabeur made it to the last eight of the Zhengzhou Open in her last tournament but with Drew due to a knee injury. Her form hasn't been as consistent as that of her opponent and no top 30 ranked player has been beaten since August. Jabeur hasn't had a hard court win over a player in the top ten since last year's WTA Tour Finals. We go for Gauff to win in what is her first match against Jabeur.
