Coco Gauff vs Aryna Sabalenka Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Australian Open

Cori Gauff, fourth seed, and Aryna Sabalenka, second seed, will rekindle their rivalry when they battle at the Australian Open. They will square off in the semifinals with the winner taking on either Dayana Yastramenka, Anna Kalinskaya, or Qinwen Zheng in the final. Cori Guaff is through to her first-ever Melbourne semi-final. She is having quite the tournament and year as before this season, she had never gone past the fourth round here. The American is now seeking to win her second successive Grand Slam. And in her way stands the player she defeated to win the US Open last season. Gauff has the head-to-head advantage over Sabalenka and has won four of six meetings. This coupled with how impeccable she has been this season should have her confident of progressing here. Gauff is yet to lose a match in 2024 and has won all 10 matches she has contested. To advance to this round she defeated Marta Kostyuk in three sets and is up to third in the live ranking. A win here will see her leapfrog Sabalenka into second in the WTA.

Aryna Sabalenka is the defending Australian Open champion. She triumphed here in sublime fashion last year and only lost a set when it came to the final. The Belarussian has been in exciting form in the defence of her title and is yet to lose a set at Melbourne Park. She defeated ninth seed Barbora Krejcikova by the loss of six games in the quarterfinals. The world number two has won nine of the 10 matches she has so far contested in 2024. Before arriving for the year’s first major, she had finished as runner-up in Brisbane. Sabalenka hasn’t had the best of times when contesting a semifinal tie at a Grand Slam. In the seven semifinals she has played, she has been defeated five times.
