Coco Gauff vs Karolina Muchova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

Both of these players are in their first US Open semi-final. Sixth seeded Corri Gauff faces the tenth seed Karolina Muchova for a place in the final. Possible opponents in the title decider include Aryna Sabalenka and Marketa Vondrousova, both Grand Slam title winners this year. Gauff has a final chance to win the US Open as a teenager. The sixth seed has been in excellent form of late on hard courts. Titles have been won in both Washington and Cincinnati. That's taken her to fifth in the live rankings and winning this title can see her rise to a career high third. It's not been the easiest of routes to the last four though. Sets have been dropped against Laura Siegemund, Elise Mertens and Caroline Wozniacki. The 19-year-old was in top form though when beating Jelena Ostapenko in the last eight. Only two games were lost, all in the fsecond set.  Her only previous meeting against Muchova was in that recent Cincinnati final with Gauff winning in straight sets.

Karolina Muchova is one match away from her second Grand Slam final of the year. The other was in Roland Garros but that was on clay, now the Czech is playing well on hard courts too. As we just mentioned, that includes getting to the final in Cincinnati where she beat Aryna Sabalenka, Maria Sakkari and Beatriz Haddad-Mai. The 27-year-old is up to a career high eighth in the live rankings and a win over Gauff could take her as high as sixth. No sets were lost by her in the first three rounds of this US Open. In the last 16 that run ended when dropping the second set to Wang Xiyu. The quarter finals saw Muchova defeat 30th seeded Sorana Cirstea and like Gauff won her first set to love, only dropping two games in the second. This is tougher and we go for Gauff to get the victory.
