Coco Gauff vs Karolina Muchova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Cincinnati Open

If the favorites had won their semi-finals we'd be watching a Swiatek v Sabalenka final. However, the last four of the Western & Southern Open produced two surprises and we now have seventh seed Coco Gauff against unseeded Karolina Muchova. Gauff continues to be in top form and is in her second outdoor hard court final in three tournaments. The Washington tournament was won and the quarter finals reached in Montreal. Now the 19-year old is in the Cincinnati final after beating Iga Swiatek in three sets on Saturday. Gauff is up to sixth in the rankings and fifth in the LIve WTA Race. This week has seen her beat the tenth seed Marketa Vondrousova. Only one set has been lost, the middle one in her win over Iga Swiatek. A win over Muchova will give Gauff her third title of the year and be perfect preparation for the upcoming US Open.

Karolina Muchova is in her second major final of the year. Already in 2023 the Czech has reached the Roland Garros final goal that was on clay. Now Muchova is in her fourth WTA singles final but has only won one of the previous three. Her one singles title was won in South Korea four years ago. Muchova was ranked 17th at the start of this tournament but is now up to a career high tenth and eighth in the Live WTA Race. Muchova had never made it past the third round of this tournament before this year. Three seeds have been beaten to get to this final. Beatriz Haddad Maia (12th) and Maria Sakkari (8th) had been beaten before Muchova defeated second seed Aryna Sabalenka in the last four. Muchova lost the first set on a tie-break but won the next two for the loss of only five games. This could well be a tight final but we go for Gauff to get the win.
