Flavio Cobolli vs Hamad Medjedovic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

Unseeded Flavio Cobolli bids to build on making it to the Geneva Open semi-final last week. The Italian faces qualifier Hamad Medjedovic in round one at Roland Garros. Up for grabs is a second round match against either 13th seed Holger Rune or unseeded Daniel Evans. Cobolli is up to a career-high of 50th and last week beat Ben Shelton on his way to a semi-final loss to Casper Ruud in Geneva. He also had a good run in Madrid with wins over Alejandro Tabilo and Nicolas Jarry. This is only his second time in the main draw in Paris after losing in the first round in 2023.

Hamad Medjedovic is down at 135th in the latest rankings but up seven places after reaching this first round. He had to qualify to get into the main draw and won his three matches without losing a set. They were best-of-three matches not five as is the case here. Like his opponent this is only his second time in the main draw at Roland Garros and last year he was beaten in round one. On clay this year, Medjedovic reached the last 32 in Rome and that's the only time this year he's won two main draw matches. Cobolli has had time to get over his exertions in Geneva and is a good price to beat Medjedovic.
