They will square off in the quarterfinals with the winner setting up a semifinal showdown with either Tommy Paul or Jordan Thompson. Flavio Cobolli is having quite the start to the season. Frances Taifoe has been eliminated from this ATP 250 event in this very round in his last two appearances. Not since winning the title in 2018 has he won a quarter-final match in Delray. Having started the season in unconvincing fashion, the American could suffer the same fate here once again. Tiafoe has compiled a 4-3 record so far this season. He is yet to win back-to-back matches and has suffered two of his three defeats on hard courts. The current world number 15 has lost the two quarterfinals he has been involved in so far this season.
