Cleveland Cavaliers vs Orlando Magic Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Kennedy Kechula in NBA Predictions
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be at home again against the Orlando Magic for game two of their Eastern Conference round-one playoff matchup. They lead the series 1-0 after winning game one 97-83. The Cavaliers are looking to go 2-0 up against the Magic and head to Orlando for games three and four with a strong advantage. Donavan Mitchell scored a game-high 30 points in the win with three other players scoring at least 14 points. His experience should prove invaluable against one of the youngest teams in the playoffs. Cleveland will again be without Ty Jerome, Craig Porter Jr. and Dean Wade due to injuries. During the regular season, the Cavs, who are averaging 112.4 points a game, won twice against the Magic.
The Magic are making their first playoff appearance since 2020. The team has been poor in the post-season for more than a decade and could be in serious trouble once again after game one. But having defeated the Cavaliers twice in the regular season, they will fancy putting up a better account of themselves here. One of Orlando’s wins in this fixture was a 116-109 road victory back in February. In game one, Jamahl Mosley’s men struggled once again from behind the arc and were also let down by their rebounding. The Magic have been one of the worst three-point teams this season and in game one shot just 21% from distance. They also were outrebounded 54-40. Orlando have one of the best defensive records and should look into this if they are to avoid going 2-0 down. They are averaging 110.4 points a game.
