The Indiana Pacers will travel to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA on Sunday. The Cavs (64-17) lead the Eastern Conference standings, while the Pacers (49-32) are fourth. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Cleveland Cavaliers have clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference and will head into the playoffs as the third-favourite to win the NBA Championship this season. 

Cleveland are also guaranteed to end the regular-season campaign with the second-best overall record regardless of the outcome in this match, only behind the West-leading OKC. 

The Cavs picked up their seventh win in 10 on Friday, beating the Knicks 108-102. With the top seed secure, the hosts are expected to rest all of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley in this match.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have also secured their place in the playoffs with the fourth seed, and they will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round of the postseason for the second straight year.

Given that both these sides have already locked in their seeding, this is something of a dead-rubber match. Notably, though, if Indiana beat the Bucks in the first round of the playoffs, they could face the Cavs in round two. 

Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner all sat out the Pacers’ 129-115 defeat to the Orlando Magic on Friday night, and none of them are likely to feature in this match as well.
