The Cleveland Cavaliers will play host to the Boston Celtics at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in the NBA on Sunday night. The Cavs (17-3) lead the Eastern Conference standings, while the Celts (16-3) are right behind them in second. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After storming to 15-0, the Cleveland Cavaliers have now lost three of their last five, with the most recent defeat coming last time out against the Atlanta Hawks 117-101. 

Darius Garland scored 29 points and five assists but Donovan Mitchell had a rare off night, putting up just 12 points, while only three Cleveland players got into double-digits. 

Despite that poor performance, the Cavs are still the highest-scoring team in the NBA (122.4 PPG), but they’ve slipped to 16th in PPG against (112.6).

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are enjoying a fine run of form, now gunning an eighth consecutive victory after taking down the Bulls 138-129 on the road over the weekend. 

Jayson Tatum exploded for 35 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, while Payton Pritchard contributed a season-high 29 points off the bench, as the team shot 50% from the field. 

The C’s are scoring 1.2 points fewer per game than the Cavs, but are allowing 2.0 fewer of the defensive end.
