UFC 310 brings us a highly anticipated heavyweight rematch between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov in the early hours of Sunday morning. ‘Bon Gamin’ is 12-2-0 while ‘Drago’ holds a record of 38-10-0. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Ciryl Gane will be making his return to the Octagon this weekend for the first time in over a year when he beat Sergei Spivac in Paris, bouncing back from his defeat to Jon Jones.
Bon Gamin has a pro record of 12 wins and two losses, with his first defeat coming against Francis Ngannou at UFC 270 before losing to Jones at UFC 285.
Of his 12 victories, six came by way of KO and three via submission, and he has defeated the likes of Sergei Pavlovich, Tai Tuivasa, and of course his upcoming opponent.
Meanwhile, Alexander Volkov comes into this match off the back of four consecutive victories over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Alexander Romanov, Tuivasa and Pavlovich.
The former two wins came by way of knockout, taking his career tally to 25, and after 48 fights, you get the feeling this could be Drago’s final chance to make a run at the title.
The Russian has a significant height advantage at 2.01m to Gane’s 1.93 and he is 2.3kg heavier, but the Frenchman possesses a 2.5cm reach advantage.

This is a tough match to call off the bat given that Gane is returning to the Octagon after a spell out and his conditioning is yet to be seen, though we do know that Volkov has rattled off four wins in a row.
However, Gane’s game plan is fairly straightforward. With superior athleticism and better footwork, he will try to tire out the heavy-handed Russian, and he’ll look to pile the pressure to win at the scorecards in the end.
