We are guaranteed an unseeded player in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters. Cristian Garin takes on Grigor Dimitrov with the winner taking on either Novak Djokovic or Stefanos Tsitsipas. Garin is ranked 42nd in the world and dropped out of the top 40 in the latest rankings update. His run to the last eight in Paris has him up to 34 in the live rankings. After a win over Pablo Cuevas in the first round, Garin has knocked out two seeds. He won two tie breaks to beat 15th seed John Isner and then came from behind to beat Jeremy Chardy with two more tie-breaks in that match. It's a welcome return to form for Garin who arrived in Paris with just one win in his last four tournaments since a quarter final at the Chengdu Open. He'll hope to recapture the form that saw him win the BMW Open in Germany in May.

Grigor Dimitrov is 27th in the world but up to 24th in the live rankings. He has only dropped one set in this tournament and that was the first one he played. Dmitrov went a set down to Ugo Humbert in the first round but the Frenchman lost the next two sets winning just three games. Next up for Dimitrov was 12th seeded David Goffin who he beat in straight sets. He continued his good run by beaten fifth seeded Dominic Thiem (winner in Vienna last week) losing just five games. He's showing the kind of form that took him to the semi-finals of the US Open and can be backed to beat Garin in straight sets.
