The Chicago Bulls will be at home to welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves for their next NBA regular season fixture. They find themselves in ninth place in the Eastern Conference table at the moment while Minnesota is second in the West. The Bulls are in a topsy-turvy period and have lost four of their last six matches. Two of those have come in back-to-back home games with the most recent coming last time out. Billy Donovan’s men were defeated 115-123 at home by another visiting West team, the Kings. This was their 27th loss of the season and left them four games below .500. The Bulls have registered the majority of their wins, 14, when as hosts. They however could be forced to play here without seven of their stars. Lonzo Ball remains a long-term absentee. Zach Lavine has been in and out of the team and has been ruled out for this match and so too has Patrick Williams. Alex Caruso, Torrey Craig, Coby White, and Dalen Terry are potential doubts.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have also wobbled in recent weeks but have fared better than the Bulls. Chris Finch’s men have won four of their last six matches and defeated the Rockets 111-90 last time out. Their recent uncertainties have cost them their hold on the number one spot in the West. They however can move right back to the summit with a win here. The Timberwolves have compiled a 35-15 record and have won 11 of 18 matchups with East teams. They are faring much better also health-wise than the Bulls with only Jaylen Clark on the injury report. Minnesota is averaging 112.9 points a game which is the 22nd best record in the league. Their defence however is what is giving them the edge. They are ranked first in points allowed and are holding teams to 106.7 points a game.
