The Chicago Bulls will play host to the Miami Heat at the United Center in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday night. The winner of this match will move on to face either the Atlanta Hawks or Orlando Magic in the play-in tournament final. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Chicago Bulls are set to face the Heat for the third time in the Play-in tournament, and they will be out for revenge here, having lost on both previous occasions in Miami. 

This time around, though, Chicago have home advantage and were the better team in this contest during the regular season, winning the series against this opponent 3-0. The most recent matchup was less than a week ago, which the Bulls won 119-111.

Leading up to the regular season finale, the Bulls were also one of the most in-form teams in the East, winning 10 of their last 13 matches, including seven of their last eight here at the United Center.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have reached the playoffs in each of the last five seasons, but they will be hoping for a better run this time after losing to the Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs last year. 

Miami ended the regular season two games behind the Bulls (37-45) after suffering a 119-118 loss to the Wizards over the weekend, which was also their fourth loss in their final six games.

While the Bulls are the better side on offence, averaging 7.6 PPG more than Miami, the Heat are significantly superior on defence, allowing 9.4 points fewer than Chicago.
