Chicago Blackhawks vs Los Angeles Kings Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

A Western Conference matchup early on Saturday will see the 33-21-11 Los Angeles Kings travelling to Chicago to take on the 18-43-5 Blackhawks. It has been uphill sledding again this season for the Blackhawks but a recent win over the Anaheim Ducks has taken them off the bottom of the overall standings, two points ahead of the San Jose Sharks. Their last two games have been two of their best results of the season for all that the Ducks and the Arizona Coyotes before that are two of the weaker sides. There are green shoots of talent in the team with generational talent Connor Bedard enjoying an excellent rooking campaign, they just need more pieces to support him.
The Kings made a flying start for Jim Hiller but have alternated wins and losses in their last six games. It is hard to know which team will turn up as they have lived and died by their offence. One goal was scored in each of the three losses but 12 in total in the three wins. Against the Blackhawks, they will be hoping that they can find the net on plenty of occasions. They have only conceded 14 goals in their last seven games so they have kept things tight on the blue line. A 1-3 loss in St Louis to the Blues started their current three-game road swing which will finish in Dallas. One place they have done well is between the pipes. Cam Talbot is having his best season since 2016/17 and David Rittich by far and away the best of his career. A 2.60GAA is bettered only by the Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets.
