Chicago Blackhawks vs Detroit Red Wings Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

An original six clash in the early hours of Monday morning as the 15-39-4 Chicago Blackhawks welcome the 30-20-6 Detroit Red Wings. The Blackhawks are well on their way to drafting high again in the draft, with five first-round picks in the last two with Kevin Korchinski and Connor Bedard the pair to make it to the NHL so far. If choosing well, the future could be bright in Chicago but this season has been further struggles, heading for a 7th sub .500 season in a row. Bedard has 39 points in his first 44 games which given the talent around him is an excellent haul. Phillipp Kurashev is the only other Blackhawk to have 30+ points in a weak offensive output for a team that has suffered a lot of injuries this season.
This is the second half of a back-to-back situation for the Red Wings who extended their winning streak to four games in St Louis against the Blues. The Red Wings will be fired up for this with the Blackhawks retiring the jersey of Chris Chelios who is also a Detroit legend plus it is the first time that Patrick Kane has ever faced the Blackhawks. Kane has 24 points in his first 25 games as a Red Wing to add to his 1,225 points as a Blackhawk. They are safely in a wildcard spot as things stand, rather in no man's land between the Toronto Maple Leafs who are third in the Atlantic ahead of them and the main pack all chasing for a spot in the postseason.
