The Delhi Capitals will be looking to maintain their impressive record in the Indian Premier League when they travel to the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium to face the Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. CSK are seventh in the standings, while DC are in second place. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After winning the IPL’s El-Clasico in their opening match, the Chennai Super Kings failed to follow up on that result, losing back-to-back games against RCB and RR, respectively. 

What has been evident this season for the Super Kings is that their usually solid batting lineup has largely failed to fire, with only two batsmen scoring over 100 runs in three matches. 

However, on a positive note, the performances of Noor Ahmad with the ball have been exceptional. The Afghanistan paceman currently holds the purple cap with nine wickets in 12 overs. 

Meanwhile, after several seasons of underperformance, the Delhi Capitals look up for it this year, currently one of only two teams that are still unbeaten after their first two matches. 

While DC have not set the tournament alight with the bat just yet, their bowling unit has been superb, led by Mitchell Starc, who is just one wicket behind Ahmad in the purple cap standings.

Over the years, these two sides have met a total of 30 times in the IPL, and CSK have won 19 times to DC’s 11. However, the Capitals did come out on top in the only match between these teams last season.
