The Charlotte Hornets welcome the Washington Wizards to the Spectrum Center on Monday night in the NBA. The Hornets (12-34) sit above the Wizards (7-41) as they make up the bottom two of the Eastern Conference. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

A hard-fought final quarter against the Denver Nuggets had almost produced a shock-upset victory for Charlotte, but a lack of composure saw them concede seven without reply in the final 42 seconds resulting in a 107-104 defeat. 

Miles Bridges put up 24 points, 12 rebounds and two assists, while Mark Williams followed closely behind with 20 points, 15 rebounds and three assists. 

Charlotte is the third-lowest-scoring team in the league (106.8 PPG), however, are considerably better in defence, as they allow just 111.9 points per game (11th overall). 

Meanwhile, the Wizards would finally break their 16-match losing streak on Saturday after defying the odds in a 105-103 victory over the Timberwolves.

Kyle Kuzma sank 15 of his 31 points from beyond the arc as the Hornets produced a 46% shooting accuracy from their 83 field attempts. 

The Wizards are in the bottom five for offence and defence in the league, averaging 106.9 points per game (27th overall) while allowing a league-high 121.8 PPG.
