The Charlotte Hornets will play host to the New York Knicks at the Spectrum Center in the NBA on Friday afternoon. The Hornets (6-12) are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, while the Knicks (10-8) are fourth in the conference standings. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Charlotte Hornets have been in a slump lately and suffered their third consecutive defeat Thursday when they were beaten 98-94 by the Miami Heat at this venue. 

LaMelo Ball led the team with 32 points and 10 rebounds, while Brandon Miller and Tidjane Salaun contributed 21 and 17 points respectively, but no other Charlotte player got into double-digits.

The Hornets are ranked 25th in the scoring charts this season, averaging just 108.2 points per game, while they are allowing 113.1 PPG (16th in the league).

Meanwhile, the Knicks have been in good form lately but will be looking to bounce back to winning ways here after getting routed 129-114 on the road by the Mavericks on Thursday. 

Jalen Brunson notched up an impressive 37 points and Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 25 points and 14 rebounds, but the Mavs got 30 points from their bench which was the deciding factor.

Still, the Knicks are the fourth-highest-scoring team in the NBA this season averaging 118.8 PPG, while they are 18th on the defensive end, allowing 113.7 PPG.
