The New Orleans Pelicans are away to the Charlotte Hornets in their next fixture in the NBA. Both teams sit second from bottom in their respective conferences. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Hornets lost their last two games. Before this negative run, they had won three straight which was their best return this season. Charles Lee’s men have lost 30 of their 41 games thus far, which is the fourth-worst record across both conferences.

After a 132-120 loss in Memphis, the Hornets returned home where they were humbled 102-97 by the Blazers.

LaMelo Ball missed the game as he is dealing with a wrist injury. Charlotte’s leading scorer remains on the injury list which contains seven players.

The Pelicans are coming off a 139-126 defeat to the Grizzlies, which halted a four-match winning streak. They will be keen to get back up, and avoid going back to their early season struggles of consecutive losses.

Willie Green’s men have improved to 12-33 after an upturn in fortunes recently. This spike has seen them climb off the bottom of the pile in the West.

Zion Williamson’s return from injury has been key to their recent success but the forward is once again sidelined.

He is one of three players ruled out for the Pels in this match. New Orleans are on a four-match winning run against Charlotte.
