Saturday in the NBA sees 1-1 Charlotte playing host to 0-1 Miami at the Spectrum Center for this Eastern Conference clash. Let’s get into the prediction for this match between the Hornets and the Heat!

Charlotte are off to a good start in the 2024/25 season after winning just 21 games last year.

They kicked off the new campaign with a surprise 110-105 road win over the Rockets before a 125-120 road defeat to the Hawks last night. They now head back for their home opener on their first back-to-back of the season.

Lamelo Ball has been fantastic in the opening two games putting up two straight 34 point performances, each coming on 10 for 20 shooting from the field. Against Atlanta, Ball drilled nine three-pointers to bring his season average to 50% from beyond the arc.

Miami, who have now gone six straight seasons finishing with a winning record, experienced a less than ideal start to the year.

They suffered a heavy 116-97 loss in their home gym on Wednesday to local rivals Orlando. Miami shot just 39% in that game although they were up against one of the NBA’s best defenses.

The Heat should be in for an easier time against a Charlotte team that finished last year ranked 23rd in defense.
