The Charlotte Hornets will welcome the Los Angeles Clippers to the Spectrum Center on Thursday night in the NBA. The Hornets (12-32) are 14th in the Eastern Conference, while the Clippers (27-20) are sixth in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Hornets will need to return to the drawing board after a disappointing 104-83 defeat to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, their fourth loss in five matches. 

Miles Bridges contributed a commendable 23 points and 13 rebounds, but the Hornets' downfall stemmed from a low shooting accuracy of 34% from their 83 field attempts. 

Charlotte has averaged 107 points per game this season (28th overall) while producing marginally better defensive numbers that rank 13th in the league (112 PPG). 

Meanwhile, the Clippers continued to improve with a seventh win in their last 10 matches, after making light work of the San Antonio Spurs with a 128-116 victory.

Norman Powell and Kawhi Leonard earned 27 points each, while Ivica Zubac proved invaluable inside the paint with 22 rebounds and 21 points to his name. 

The Clippers are ranked 23rd in offence, averaging 110.3 PPG, but they are an elite-level defence that allows just 107.1 PPG (third in the NBA).
