Charlotte Hornets vs Indiana Pacers Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA

The struggling 13th-place Charlotte Hornets host the sixth-placed Indiana Pacers for this Eastern Conference NBA matchup on Sunday evening. The Hornets come into this matchup with a 10-37 record, the fourth-worst mark in the league and ahead of only the Pistons and Wizards in the East. They’re coming off of a 126-106 away loss to the impressive Thunder on Friday, a result which marked the sixth consecutive defeat for Charlotte. The hosts have been getting torn up on the defensive side of the ball where they have allowed an average of 123.5 points per game on this current losing skid. With the Hornets also ranking 28th in total scoring this season at 108.5 average points per game it’s no surprise as to why they’ve lost close to 80% of their games this campaign. Charlotte hasn’t seen much of an improvement at the Spectrum Center with a 5-18 record compared to 5-19 on the road.

Indiana will be hoping to snap out of a three-game losing streak with their trip to Charlotte. The Pacers fell to a 133-122 home defeat to the Sacramento Kings on Friday, dropping their record to 27 wins and 23 defeats on the season. The Pacers have been dealing with a few injury problems with key players such as Haliburton, Turner and Mathurin all having missed time recently. Haliburton, in particular, has been slowly reintroduced so as to not cause excessive strain on his hamstring. He’s started off the bench in the Pacers last three games, coincidentally all of which have been losses. The Pacers now have just a half game lead over the Miami Heat for a crucial top six seeding. They’ll be on the road here where they have largely struggled compared to their home results. The Pacers are two games below .500 on the road while posting a 16-10 home record.
