The Charlotte Hornets will look to make it two wins in a row when they host the surging Golden State Warriors on Friday. Charlotte sits 13th in the East with an 18-54 record while Golden State is 10th in the West with a record of 38-34. The Hornets finally put an end to an ugly five-game losing streak on Wednesday following their shock 118-111 home win over the Cavaliers. The victory also signaled an end of a five-game streak in which the Hornets failed to crack the 100-point mark in scoring. They’ll now look for two consecutive wins for the first time in over a month. Promising rookie Brandon Miller led the way for Charlotte in the team’s last outing, dropping 31 points on 11 for 19 shooting (including 7-13 from deep). The Warriors are battling it out with Houston for the final spot in the play-in tournament which would go to the team that finishes 10th. Golden State currently occupies the position but holds only a one-game lead over the Rockets who are hot on their heels. The visitors now have a golden opportunity to make it three in a row against a Hornets team that has just one win in their last six.
