It’s been a struggle for both teams at the start of the season, each with their unique reasons for their respective slow starts. The 3-6 Nets have been dealing with arguably the biggest sideshow in the NBA with the Kyrie Irving situation as the mercurial point guard was recently suspended five games by the Nets organization. On the other side, the 3-6 Hornets are dealing with a host of injuries to a number of their key players and will come into this game shorthanded yet again. KD is averaging 32 points per game this season, tied for the highest mark in his career, on an efficient 51% shooting from the field. For the Hornets, the absence of Lamelo Ball, Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier was evident for all to see against the Grizzlies as Charlotte had to depend on the likes of Kelly Oubre and PJ Washington to lead the team on the offensive end.
