Chardy vs Andy Murray Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open
by | in ATP Italian Open Predictions
Andy Murray continues to be in good form on clay and will definitely be a contender when it comes to the upcoming French Open. He had an easy win in his first match at the Rome Masters but faces a tougher game when he faces Jeremy Chardy. Murray may not have a coach but is in good form with a semi-final and a final in his last two tournaments. His opponent is ranked number 32 in the world but has only won one of his eight previous matches against Andy Murray. The pair have twice met on clay and this is a repeat of their meeting in the last 16 in this tournament last year when Murray won in straight sets. Chardy did take a set off Murray at last year's French Open. His only win over Murray was in the Cincinatti Masters on a hardcourt but that was four years ago. Chardy has had to win two matches to reach this stage of the tournament and dropped a set to Damir Dzumbur in the last 64. Last week he reached the last 16 in Barcelona losing in straight sets to Keri Nishikori and before that could only make the last 32 in Monte Carlo losing to Roberto Batista Agut who he beat yesterday to clinch this match with Murray. I go for a straight sets win for Murray here.
