Heineken Champions Cup Predictions & Betting tips - Rugby
by Devesh Jaganath |
The Cell C Sharks from South Africa will play Union Bordeaux-Bègles on Saturday in Durban at the Kings Park Stadium. This match will be the Sharks' third game in the Heineken Champions Cup, and they have been looking like a true force in this competition so far. They are currently fourth in their pool, having won their first two games in the tournament, including an impressive victory over this opponent in France just a few weeks ago. The Sharks' played two matches since then, winning one and losing the most recent one against Connacht last week. However, their leading players were given a rest during their last game in the United Rugby Championship and will be raring to go in front of their home crowd.
On the other hand, Bordeaux-Bègles has had a difficult campaign so far in both the Champions Cup and the TOP 14, the French domestic league. They have lost their last two games in Europe, which included a loss to this opponent in their previous meeting, and come into this match in ninth position in the current standings, courtesy of two bonus points which have kept them above the likes of Castres, Racing 92, and Lyon. Their performance against the Sharks at home left little to admire and makes it unlikely that they will be able to defeat the Sharks in Durban this time around.
